I made these the other day as a treat for some friends. They were a big hit. My 4 year old loved helping us make them. We actually did a variation. Instead of the body, head and second cookie we just put a candy corn in the middle of the Oreo as the head. We wanted more simplicity. Have a great turkey break! Click here for how to.

While browsing the archives on the Country Living website I found some great Halloween decorating ideas, crafts and recipes. I am loving the bright orange accent to a black and while background. That three layered cake is great isn't it?

Good afternoon! Inspired by the blogger Bakerella, I made an experimental treat last night. Here is how it went. I made a normal batch of brownies. I spooned it out into bite size servings. I rolled each spoonful into a ball. I melted a bag of chocolate chips. I dipped each ball into the melted chocolate, then placed them onto wax paper to cool. One thing to note if you want to try it: you will need to dip the balls into the chocolate right away so they don't dry out; mine were a little dry. Or you could under-cook the brownies a little. Also when I make these again I will try white chocolate for a contrast to the strong chocolaty flavor brownies already have. The end result was still very yummy! Happy experimental baking!

Marie' Digby I was browsing around on you tube just now and clicked this video . Right then I fell in love with her music! Does anyone know anything about how she became famous? It looks like her you tube channel has been around for a while. Is that what got her music out there? If so thats really neat. Halloween is my favorite holiday next to Christmas. And I firmly believe that the decorations for both holidays deserve to be given a good two month's of celebration time. Therefore September, in my house, is very spooky indeed! (p.s. Sorry for the blurry images! I was in a hurry when I took these.)
