I am quite obsessed with decorating with candy canes this year. I hope to create one, or more, of these great pepperminty ideas this year. I really love a pale snowy blue added as an accent to the bold red and white. In the central image you can see the silvery blue wall color creating a lovely backdrop, and I LOVE IT! I even find this color scheme creeping into the crafts I have been making lately. I found the photos on the Better Homes and Gardens' website. (click image for larger view)

Great Holiday doors
I love it when fresh evergreen trimmings are used in holiday decorating, and I think these doors are fantastic! I wish my blue spruce was bigger. It's only two feet tall right now; if we took clippings it would be naked. I found these images on Better Homes and Gardens' website. Enjoy decorating your front door!

Green
While browsing around on Better Homes and Gardens' website I came across some great Christmas photos and ideas. I have saved and grouped them together into themes and hope to blog about them here throughout this holiday season! Today's theme is Green. I love the unique and festive ways they chose to decorate in these photos.

Oh christmas tree
My family and I created a winter wonderland in our living room this week!
Oh yes, we really did put up our tree! Christmas is our most favorite holiday and if it didn't get two entire months of decorations we would feel cheated. This room not only looks magical it smells magical, we lit four evergreen scented candles and it completes the whole feeling. wish you could smell. The tree was flocked by my awesome husband, he covered almost every branch with a little bit of acrylic blanket snow specifically made for Christmas decorating.

Oreo Turkey Cookies
I made these the other day as a treat for some friends. They were a big hit. My 4 year old loved helping us make them. We actually did a variation. Instead of the body, head and second cookie we just put a candy corn in the middle of the Oreo as the head. We wanted more simplicity. Have a great turkey break! Click here for how to.
