Wonderful wreaths

Wreaths are such great Christmas decorations! I love these four unique variations on a holiday classic. I found images 1 2 and 3 on the Better Homes and Gardens' website. Image 4 is from the Country Living website (click image for larger view)

I'm dreaming of a pink Christmas

I love Pink! When it is done right it can be a great Christmas color. These images make me want to put up a tree in my daughters pink room! Now that I think of it I want a tree in every room!!!! especially our master bedroom! What a perfect place to bring the magic of Christmas, the room where we nestle all snug in our beds and dream of sugar plums! I found the photos on the Better Homes and Gardens' website. great ornament crafts

These crafts look so great! I'm thinking I'll have to make at least one of them for our tree. Either the candy ribbon or the peppermint. I found the photos on the Better Homes and Gardens' website. (click image for larger view)

Peppermint passion

I am quite obsessed with decorating with candy canes this year. I hope to create one, or more, of these great pepperminty ideas this year. I really love a pale snowy blue added as an accent to the bold red and white. In the central image you can see the silvery blue wall color creating a lovely backdrop, and I LOVE IT! I even find this color scheme creeping into the crafts I have been making lately. I found the photos on the Better Homes and Gardens' website. (click image for larger view)

Great Holiday doors

I love it when fresh evergreen trimmings are used in holiday decorating, and I think these doors are fantastic! I wish my blue spruce was bigger. It's only two feet tall right now; if we took clippings it would be naked. I found these images on Better Homes and Gardens' website. Enjoy decorating your front door!

Green

While browsing around on Better Homes and Gardens' website I came across some great Christmas photos and ideas. I have saved and grouped them together into themes and hope to blog about them here throughout this holiday season! Today's theme is Green. I love the unique and festive ways they chose to decorate in these photos.
Happy Holidays!

Oreo Turkey Cookies

I made these the other day as a treat for some friends. They were a big hit. My 4 year old loved helping us make them. We actually did a variation. Instead of the body, head and second cookie we just put a candy corn in the middle of the Oreo as the head. We wanted more simplicity. Have a great turkey break! Click here for how to.

Halloween inspiration

While browsing the archives on the Country Living website I found some great Halloween decorating ideas, crafts and recipes. I am loving the bright orange accent to a black and while background. That three layered cake is great isn't it?

Marie Digby

I was browsing around on you tube just now and clicked this video. Right then I fell in love with her music! Does anyone know anything about how she became famous? It looks like her you tube channel has been around for a while. Is that what got her music out there? If so thats really neat.

EDIT: I looked her up on wikipedia she has a really neat story------

Marié Christina Digby (pronounced /mæɹi'eɪ 'dɪgbi/ Ma-ree-AY Dig-Bee) (born April 16, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. She is best known for her acoustic cover version of Rihanna's No. 1 hit "Umbrella", which attracted attention on YouTube in 2007. The song was subsequently played on the radio station STAR 98.7, was featured on the third season opening episode of the MTV show The Hills,[1] and peaked at #10 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. Marie performed the song on the late night talk show Last Call with Carson Daly on August 2, 2007.

Marie's first official single, "Say It Again", was released to radio stations on January 18, 2008. Her debut album, Unfold, was released on April 8, 2008.

Wild roses

I can't believe how lucky we are to have a huge wild rose bush bordering our property line. Lets pray the neighbors feel just as lucky, I hope they never cut it down.
The sweet smell is breathtaking.
I love summer for many reasons but especially because of this blooming beauty.
Can you smell it from there?
Not a rose but just as wild, I love dandelions. :)
Have a great day!
