Songs of the heart

I have had passion for music all of my life, and recently have been able to discover some very inspiring musicians.

Here are two I have been smitten with as of late. Both are unique and very talented!

Joanna Newsom

Her harp playing is remarkable and her voice is absolutely adorable!

And

Beirut

Their music is enchanting and magical. I love the song "Scenic World".

New Lovelies

Coming soon...

And this whole time you thought I was sleeping too during nap time. ;)

I'm announcing my first officially scheduled shoppe update!!Hope to see you there!
maybe I'll even throw in some surprises!

Two great Movies!!

Thought I'd share my two favorite movies with you!

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

This movie is so magical, I loved every second of it! Mr Magorium is adorable and the story is really neat. I even cried. It sounds weird but it really spoke to my inner child, and that was emotional for me I guess. (It's really not a very sad movie.) It's a must see for everyone!

As a surprise my Sister and my Dad come to visit all the way from CO last week. While they were here we went to see this movie, and I absolutely loved it! The story is so very sweet and the vintage clothes she wears are quite adorable! You really should check it out!

The hunt

I thought it would be fun to share some Easter photos with all of you.

In my head I had planned an ornately hand made original table setting and a gourmet meal for Easter. You know, sugar cookies frosted with home made frosting, place settings with name tags and a perfect centerpiece. easter baskets all decorated perfectly. It didn't turn out at all the way I planed but you know what, I loved it! The day flowed with a spontaneous energy and the kids loved it too. I chose not to make cookies, and not to set the table at all. We had nachos from one communal family plate and had great family bonding time. I did make popcorn balls that tasted so very lovely though, and the services at church today were very enjoyable! They filled me with joy and hope. He is not here, He is risen. Hope you all had a great Easter as well!

Pretty little frock and green green grass

One week ago we planted some wheat.

Now look whats happened! Pretty green grass all ready for Easter!

And what goes better with Easter than a pretty Easter dress.

Especially one handmade from scratch.

I didn't use a pattern at all, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Have a great springtime'y day!
